Creative Ultrasonics
Group Exhibition between photography and biomedical engineering student of IUPUI. Exploration of inanimate objects with an ultrasound probe. Corrin Larson’s contribution was an underwater speaker. Photography captures light and sonography captures sound leading her to be interested in the affects of capturing music through ultrasound. The song played was Liquid Smooth by Mitski. This body of work was then exhibited in Chicago at the 2022 Radiology Science of North America (RSNA) conference where Larson, along with professor and curator Stefan Petranek and biomedical engineering student, Andrea Jacobson discussed the benefits of interdisciplinary learning. This project demonstrated the addition of art and science, leading Art to be added to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) now known as STEAM.
Showcased at IUPUI Cultural Arts Gallery May 2022 and McCormack Place November 2022
